Not for much longer.

We are working with architects and the community to write the next chapter. The details are still taking shape, but the direction is clear: this building is coming back.

A building with history

Erected in 1893 by J. P. Brundidge, the Brundidge Building stands on West Second Street in the commercial heart of Hope, Arkansas. Its 2½-story brick facade — divided into four bays and crowned by a projecting gable front flanked by small turrets — is the city's best example of Romanesque Revival architecture.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, the building has witnessed more than 130 years of downtown life. After decades of quiet, its next chapter is beginning — one that honors its past while making it a useful part of Hope's future.
